Introduction
Reports made through the Reporting Module can be run so that they reflect what your only entity data as of a past date. This option is only available via the Reporting panel on a Homepage Tab.
Below, we'll run a Report listing the directors and officers of all our entities called Current Directors and Officers, but we'll run it so that it reflects the current officers and directors as of April 30, 2023, rather than today.
Favorite the Report
Only Reports that you have favorited will be available on the Reporting panel that is used to apply a past date to a Report. If you have already favorited the Report, skip this section and proceed to Locate or Add the Reporting Panel to a Homepage Tab.
1. Open the Find a Report tile on the Home Hub.
2. Locate the Report you wish to run.
3. Right-click the Report and select Add/Remove Favorites.
Locate or Add the Reporting Panel to a Homepage Tab
The Reporting panel, found on a Homepage Tab, is the only area from where you can run a Report and have it reflect a past date.
1. Browse through your Homepage Tabs and look for the Reporting panel. By default, it is located on a Homepage Tab called Reports & Documents, but since Homepage Tabs are customizable, it may appear on a differently named Homepage Tab in your GEMS database.
2. If you do not find the Reporting panel, add it to any Homepage Tab of your choosing by following the directions here.
Run the Report from the Reporting Panel
With the Report favorited and the Reporting panel open, you can now set a date for the Report to reflect and then run it.
1. Select the Favorites tab on the Reporting panel.
2. Enter the date you wish the Report to reflect in the Date As Of/Date As At field.
3. Click the Report name to run it.
If the results of your Report are missing key records, examine the Filters within the Report by opening it within the Reporting Module. Certain filters, such as one that checks if an appointment's Date Resigned field is empty, can interfere with the Date As Of/Date As At feature.
