Introduction
GEMS offers multiple methods for locating, exporting, and reporting on your Business Entities'/Companies' appointment data. Users can:
export data from a single company's Appointments panel on a Snapshot, if available
export data from a single company's Appointments Screen
build an Advanced Search that returns appointment data from multiple companies
run a Sample Report that includes appointment data from multiple companies
use the Reporting Module to build their own Reports that return appointment data from multiple companies
Export Appointment Data from a Business Entity's/Company's Appointments Snapshot Panel
If you need to export the current appointment data for one Business Entity/Company and your Snapshot layout contains an Appointments panel (or a similar panel containing appointment data, such as a Directors panel), you can export the panel's data directly from the Snapshot.
1. Navigate to the entity Snapshot of the company whose appointment data you need to export.
2. Locate the Appointments panel (or similar panel, such as a Directors panel or Officers panel).
3. Click Actions in the top right corner of the panel, then select Export.
4. Choose your desired file format in the dropdown in the top left corner of the panel, then click Export.
Export Appointment Data from a Business Entity's/Company's Appointments Screen
If you need to export the appointment data for one Business Entity/Company and you don't have an Appointments panel (or a similar panel), you can export Appointment data from the Appointments Screen as a CSV file compatible with Microsoft Excel.
1. Open the Snapshot of the entity whose appointments you need.
2. Click View More Details to open the Navigation Menu.
3. Select Appointments or one of the specific Screens beneath the Appointments Screen (for example, Board of Directors) to open the Screen.
4. Expand the Search section and ensure it is returning current appointments.
5. Click the Export icon in the top right of the Search Results section.
6. Select Export All Pages to Excel (CSV file).
Build an Advanced Search
Users can build Advanced Searches to return and export current appointment data for several companies at once.
1. Open the Search Hub from the top left corner of any GEMS page.
2. Select Business Entity/Company in the Search GEMS for dropdown.
3. Click Advanced.
4. In the Columns section, add columns containing, at a minimum, the following fields from the Appointment Screen:
Appointed Entity
Appointment Type
Date Resigned
Additional columns from any Screen can be added per your needs.
5. Add a criterion reading Appointment.Date Resigned Is blank, as well as any additional criteria you desire, such as criteria defining which entities the data should come from or which Appointment Types should appear.
6. Click the Search icon.
7. Locate and select the Export icon to export the search results.

Run a Sample Report
GEMS includes several Sample Reports that return appointment data for entities. These Sample Reports can be accessed directly from the Home Hub via the Find a Report tile.
1. Select Find a Report on the Home Hub.
2. Enter Sample Reports\Appointments in the search bar.
3. Review the titles of the Sample Reports to determine which one suits your needs. Click the name of the Sample Report you wish to run.
Build an Advanced Report in the Reporting Module
Experienced GEMS Edit Users can build their own Advanced Reports that return appointment data in the Reporting Module.
