Introduction
The AP02 is used to appoint a corporate body or firm as a director.
AP02 files can be generated as a PDF. Additionally, an AP02 can be electronically filed within GEMS if users have prepared their database for e-filing, as outlined by the steps in this article.
Generate or E-File a AP02 after Updating GEMS Data
An AP02 form can be generated and e-filed immediately after appointing a Corporate Director to a UK Company.
1. Appoint a new Corporate Director to a Business Entity/Company in GEMS. In the example below, we’ll Appoint the Business Entity UserEducation LTD to the role of Director.
2. After saving your changes, GEMS will create an Activity with a single To-Do Item. Click the Generate icon next to the To-Do Item to open the AP02 in the Filing Module.
3. Within the Filing Module, review each area on the left side of the page to ensure the data is accurate.
4. Click Edit on any page to modify the data, if needed.
5. Click Validate to have GEMS check the data. If any errors are returned, modify the data as directed, then validate again until no errors appear.
6. Click Create PDF to generate a PDF version of the AP02, or click Submit to electronically file the AP02.
