Recognize Common Icons in GEMS

Updated over 4 months ago

There are quite a few commonly used icons in GEMS. Getting to know the function of these icons will make it easier for you to complete tasks in GEMS.

More Options

The “Vertical Ellipsis” or “Three Dot Menu” icon is located at the end of a data row in a panel.

Once clicked, users can either select Open to review an item or Edit to make an update to an item.

Add Activity

Use the calendar icon from a Snapshot panel to add an activity that can be tracked through GEMS Compliance Tracker.

Delete

You will see the Trashcan icon when you are building an advanced search or modifying a chart. Clicking the Trashcan will delete a field or criteria row.

Lookup List

When entering a new data item (a new address, a new appointment, etc.), clicking the binoculars icon displays a Lookup List of selectable items for that particular category.

Properties

From a Screen, the Magnifying Glass icon appears at the end of a data row. Selecting it opens the item's properties, allowing users to review details without making changes.

Users can also edit or delete the data or add a new item in that category using the available buttons on the properties page.

Refresh

Using the Snapshot Refresh icon will reload and update the entity data after the date is changed or an edit is made.
