GEMS AI can analyze your documents based on questions you ask, helping you quickly get the information you need or find gaps in the document's content.

GEMS AI can perform document analysis anywhere documents are found in GEMS. Once a document is located, you can ask questions of GEMS AI regarding the document, and it will perform an analysis and answer your question.

In this scenario, a colleague uploaded a document to GEMS called Minutes of Meeting. You already know that this document relates to the Business Entity Calyptus Innovations Inc., but you would like to quickly know the purpose of the meeting it describes and if there is any missing content in the document.

1. Locate your document within GEMS and tick the checkbox to its left. In this scenario, we've located Minutes of Meeting and ticked its checkbox.

2. Locate and click the GEMS AI icon to open the GEMS AI Assistant.

3. Enter a question for GEMS AI to answer in the textbox at the bottom of the GEMS AI Assistant, then click the Send icon. In this scenario, we'll enter What was the purpose of the meeting described by this document?

​4. A new GEMS AI Assistant panel opens containing your question and GEMS AI's answer. In this scenario, we see that GEMS AI has informed us that the meeting involved the appointment of a director, Eleanor Brooks.

5. Enter any further questions in the textbox underneath GEMS AI's answer, then click the Send icon. In this scenario, we'll enter Is this document missing any information typical for minutes documents?

6. GEMS AI will answer your question within the same panel. Continue to ask further questions as needed by repeating step 5, or close the panel by clicking the Close icon in the top right corner.

In this scenario, GEMS AI has informed us that the document is missing the location of the meeting, approval of previous minutes, detailed discussion points, and the next meeting date. We have no further questions, so we will close the panel.
