Create a new GEMS AI Insights Agent

Learn how to make and add your own Insights Agents

Updated over a month ago

Introduction

GEMS AI Insights Agents are intelligent assistants that provide in-depth analyses of your entities within seconds.

In addition to running existing Insights Agents, Edit Users can create their own Agents based on instructions tailored to their organization's needs. After an Insights Agent is created, it can be run at any point in the future by all users within the database.

Create a new Search-type Insights Agent

Users can create a Search-type Insights Agent to analyze data from a specific Saved Search. These agents can be run from any page within GEMS.

In this scenario, our organization conducts quarterly reviews of Business Entities to identify appointments missing a Date First Elected value.

GEMS does not include a default Insights Agent for this analysis, so we will create a new Search-type Insights Agent. It will use an existing Saved Search, Business Entities with all appointments, to identify records with missing Date First Elected data.

1. Navigate to the Agents panel and select Create Agent.

2. The Agent details panel opens. Enter a name for your Insights Agent in the Agent name field. In this scenario, we'll enter Missing first election dates.

3. Enter a description of your Insights Agent in the Description field. In this scenario, we'll enter Analyzes Business Entity appointment data and locates missing Date Appointed values.

4. Provide instructions for the Insights Agent in the Instructions field. In this scenario, we'll enter Identify appointment records which have no value in the Date First Elected field.

5. Select Search underneath Agent type.

6. The Search type and Saved search options will appear. Select the type of Saved Search the Insights Agent will analyze in the Search type drop-down. In this scenario, the Saved Search we want to use is a Business Entity type, so we will select Business Entity.

7. Select the appropriate Saved Search in the Saved Search drop-down. In this scenario, we will select the Saved Search Business Entities with all appointments.

8. Click Save.

Create a new Snapshot-type Insights Agent

Edit Users can create a Snapshot-type Insights Agent which will analyze data within any entity Snapshot. These Agents could then be run after opening a specific Snapshot.

In this scenario, we would like GEMS users to be able to check if a United Kingdom-based company is in compliance with the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act of 2023 (ECCTA). We will therefore create a Snapshot-type Insights Agent which users could run when they open a UK-based company.

1. Navigate to the Agents panel and select Create Agent.

2. The Agent details panel opens. Enter a name for your Insights Agent in the Agent name field. In this scenario, we'll enter ECCTA Compliance.

3. Enter a description of your Insights Agent in the Description field. In this scenario, we'll enter This agent checks if a company is in compliance with the ECCTA.

4. Provide instructions for the Insights Agent in the Instructions field. In this scenario, we'll enter Describe any areas in which this company is not in compliance with the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act of 2023.

5. Select Snapshot under the Agent type heading.

6. Click Save.

Tip: You can also save prompts that you've entered while working with GEMS AI Analyze as new Insights Agents. Just click the Save icon underneath a GEMS AI Analyze response.
