When entering ownership data via Capital Ownership method, you must update three different screens in this order:
The Security Screen
A Business Entity must first have a record of its equities it can issue, which GEMS records as Securities. Security records track the properties of each type of equity, such as their par values and denominational currencies.
The Authorized Summary Screen
If a Business Entity must authorize shares before issuing them due to local requirements, you must record the details by entering Authorized Amendments on Authorized Summary Screen. Authorized Amendments should be recorded after you have recorded the Securities on the Security Screen.
The Stockholder/ Shareholder Summary Screen
After recording the Securities and Authorized Amendments, you must specify which Registered Holders received shares and when. You do this by recording Security Transaction on the Stockholder/ Shareholder Summary Screen.
