Clients of GEMS can benefit from single sign-on (SSO) functionality. From a user perspective, this means that logging into the company network automatically logs you into GEMS. There is no need to remember additional login details. 

GEMS can be integrated with the client’s existing repository of user details which are used as authentication for gaining access to the GEMS application. Rather than maintaining user authentication details in GEMS, each GEMS user is linked to an external user and it is this external user that GEMS authenticates against.  

If you are a standard GEMS Edit User or Browse User, your GEMS Administrator will provide you with a Client ID which you can use to <a href="https://GEMS.CGSHelps.com/en/articles/9083836-access-gems" target="_blank">access GEMS</a>.
