User information and permissions can be updated at any time from the user's Basics Screen. This includes changes to user details, access levels, roles, and other settings that support the user's responsibilities in GEMS.
In this example, we'll update Renault Diamond's account to reflect a new responsibility. Renault is an existing Edit User who will now be creating and editing charts in GEMS. To support this change, we'll locate Renault's user record and update the appropriate settings on the Basics Screen.
Before making any changes, ensure all required approvals have been obtained and the appropriate license is available.
A Charting Tool Edit User license is available.
1. From the Home Hub, click the Admin Hub and select GEMS Administration > User Management.
2. The User Search screen appears, displaying a list of all enabled users. Locate or search for your user and select their USER NAME. In this example, we will select rdiamond.
3. The user’s Basics Screen displays. Click EDIT.
4. The user’s Basics Screen displays in edit mode. Locate and tick the Charting Tool Edit User box if the user requires Charting Tool edit access. In this example, Renault needs to create and edit charts, so we will tick the box.
5. Click SAVE.
