Enable a user in GEMS

Admin only - Tasks require administrator permissions in GEMS.

Enable a user account to allow access when an account was created in a disabled status or when access was previously disabled.

Before enabling a user, confirm:

  • The user requires access based on current responsibilities.

  • The assigned access level is appropriate.

  • A license is available.

  • The user has the required access details. Such as the database URL, Client ID, and when logging into GEMS manually, the username and password.

In this scenario, James Wright from ComputersRus is returning from medical leave and requires his GEMS account to be enabled.

1. Navigate to the User Search screen. Locate or search for your user and select their USER NAME. In this example, we will select [email protected]

2. The user’s Basics Screen displays. Click EDIT.

3. The Basics Screen displays in edit mode. Untick the Account Disabled checkbox.

4. A confirmation message appears. Click OK.

5. Click SAVE.

The user’s account is now Enabled.
