The Audit Trail in GEMS provides a chronological record of system activity, helping you investigate actions, validate changes, and answer questions with confidence. You can confirm whether a user logged in, determine who changed access, or review the details of a system update or process.

Advanced Search and Filter Tools
Use Advanced Search and the column header tools to quickly isolate relevant records and narrow your investigation.
DATE and TIME
These columns display the date and time the activity occurred.
By default, the current date displays.
Use Advanced Search to modify the default date and view historical activity
Entity
This column displays the Entity associated with the activity when applicable.
Use this column to identity which record was affected.
USER
Use this column to determine whether the activity was performed by a user, system, or service.
CGS indicates a Computershare employee working in your database.
gemroot indicates a database or SuperAdmin process.
RAAPI indicates activity completed through Registered Agent Services.
ACTION & SECTION
The ACTION column identifies what occurred, such as a login, edit, or system generated process.
The SECTION column identifies where the activity occurred within GEMS.
Together, these columns show what happened and where it happened.
DETAILS
This column displays the specific updates made.
Use these details to confirm exactly what has changed.
