We will use the following scenario to demonstrate this task: we have noticed that our document Shareholder’s Rights is related to the wrong entity. We need to edit its properties to fix this error. The document is currently related to ABC plc, whereas it should be related to Brimsdown, Inc.
Navigate to your entity’s snapshot and click the Documents button.
Locate the document that requires updating.
Under the DESCRIPTION column, right click on the document and select Edit. In this scenario, we will right click on the Shareholder’s Rights document.
The document properties pane will appear. Update the relevant fields. In this scenario, we need to update the Related Entity field.
Click Clear to remove existing data from the field. In this scenario, we will clear ABC plc.
Click the Lookup List icon to search for the correct data.
A new pane will appear. Enter the data you are looking for in the Search For field and click Search. In this scenario, we will search for the correct entity, Brimsdown, Inc.
Click on the correct data in the search results to add it in to the field. In this scenario, we will click on Brimsdown, Inc.
The pane will close, and your data will be added to the field. In this scenario, Brimsdown, Inc. is added to the Related Entity field.
Complete all the relevant fields. Then, click SAVE.
Document properties have now been updated
