Add a Client Logo to the GEMS Interface

How to upload a company or client logo to personalise the GEMS interface

Updated over 10 months ago

Administrator Users can add logos to the GEMS interface. This is one way that many clients personalise the page but it is not a requirement. See the below image as an example.

Please note: Only Administrator Users can add logos to the GEMS interface.

Any logo added is visible to all users.

The Client Logo field enables a person to upload an image from their PC to be displayed on the GEMS homepage.

To add a Client Logo in the main header bar on the GEMS interface, work through the following instructions:

Navigate to Admin > GEMS Settings > System Management.

Click the Edit button.

Click the Attach link next to the Client Logo field to open the Upload Image window.

A pop up window will open, click the Choose file button and then navigate to the file location. The valid image file formats are .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, and .png. When a different file format is selected an error message is displayed when you click Attach.

Please note: The image file must have a file size of 500KB or less. When a file is greater than this size in the Filename field and the Attach button is clicked, an error message is displayed advising the user to reduce the size of the file or attach an alternative file.

Specify the location of the image in the Filename field, click OK.

Please note: The optimum dimensions for the uploaded image are 120pixels by 60pixels. Images greater than this size are scaled to appear in the 120pixel by 60pixel space when displayed on the GEMS header bar.

When a valid image file has been selected, the image filename is then displayed in the Client Logo field. This can be removed if necessary by clicking the Clear Image link.

Click Save to save the changes and then click Close on the Admin screen to return to the main GEMS homepages.

In future logins to GEMS or once refreshed, the new image is displayed next to the GEMS logo in the Header area. If necessary, it will be scaled to the 120 x 60 pixel dimensions, as described earlier.
