How to Restore an Archived Business Entity/Company

A step-by-step to restoring an archived Business Entity/Company

Updated over a year ago

Introduction

Business Entities/Companies in GEMS can be designated as Archived, which places them in a read-only state.

Archived Business Entities/Companies do not count toward an organization’s number of Active Business Entities/Companies allowed; consequently, archiving a Business Entity/Companies is an effective way to free up licenses for new Business Entities/Companies should the Active limit be reached.

Archived Entities can be restored to Active status by following the steps below.

Restoring an Archived Entity

To restore an archived Entity, do the following:

Ensure that there is room for a restored Entity by verifying the number of Active Entities counting toward the GEMS license. This can be done by navigating to Admin > GEMS Settings > Product Information and examining the "License Information" section on the lefthand side of the modal.

Next, from the Basics screen of the Archived Entity, click the dropdown labeled “Archive” and then select “Restore.”

Click Go.

Make sure the “Restore Business Entity/Company” checkbox is checked, then click Submit.
